Hay! It's a Hoedown

Hay......It's a Hoedown!

On October 31st,  Floral Street School will have it's Traditional Harvest Hoedown hosted by the Floral Street School Specialists.  Students have been working to learn square dances and line dance in Music and Physical Education classes.   In Art, students have been designing fall projects to decorate the gym.
This is the one day a year the "special subject" teachers collaborate and combine classes to celebrate Fall Festival.     It's kickin' up to be a great event!

New Faces in the Crowd

The Floral Street School gymnasium has some new faces this year:

Welcome Kelley Macquire to Shrewsbury and to our Floral Physical Education department.  This is Kelley's first year teaching.  She teaches Health at Sherwood and joins me to teach first and third grade PE on Mondays and Fridays.

Welcome back Chris Banks, our student teacher from Bridgewater State University.  Chris worked with classes in the spring and will be here with us full time through December.

Chris D'Aniello is also back teaching first and second grade on Mondays and Thursdays.  Chris is the PE teacher from Beall School.   Congratulations to Chris who has been invited to present his expertise at the National Health and Physical Education convention in April.
